Most women deal with quease related to pregnancy. Even though you are undergoing the greatest transformation of your life, there are certain factors that add challenges to this journey. Nausea, morning sickness, pregnancy quease and changing food preferences are some of them. At times, the foods you enjoyed most prior to pregnancy quease makes you puke. Even smell of certain foods, furniture or even people could make you nauseous.
Some start to develop strange preferences like vegetarians craving for meat,tendency to lick walls, salvate over the smell of shampoos etc. If you are a person dealing with such situations, don’t worry it happens. According to a study 70% of women experience nausea and 50% experience quease. So it is perfectly normal. But there are certain ways to decrease or reduce these symptoms.
Most probably you will be facing all these symptoms during the first trimester. So the first thing you need is rest. First trimester is very challenging and you need to be very careful.
1.rest: Don’t do heavy jobs that require lifting heavy things,bending too much, or causing physical strain.
2.Find a smell that can cool you down: For most women the smell of lemon could help reduce vomiting sensation.
3.Try eating little by little: Don’t try to eat a huge quantity at once.First try if it suits you, then eat. It is better to eat little by little, taking intervals in between.
4.distract yourself: Try doing stuff that you love that don’t call for physical or mental strain. Listening to music, solving puzzles, watching feel-good movies, painting and reading are some options. If you distract yourself from the sickness you are feeling, you will slowly calm down.
5.Sleep: Try sleeping more. Sleeping is the instant solution for stress,nausea and other pregnancy related issues.
6.Eat balanced food: Try incorporating more protein and vitamins to your diet and less sugar. Taking more sugar can lead to pregnancy diabetes so decrease the amount of sugar you take.
7.Keep yourself hydrated: When you are pregnant you vomit, sweat more and pee more. So it is mandatory to keep yourself hydrated. Try freshly squeezed fruit juice. In that way you will get more water and vitamins to your body.
8.Find pressure points: There are certains points on your fingers that act as pressure points. Try massaging those areas.
9.Breathing exercises: Breathing exercises could really calm you and decrease the feeling of nausea.
10.Try ginger extract: Ginger extract can solve most of the stomach related issues like gas trouble, belly growling etc
11.Try wearing loose and comfortable clothes.You will have enough air circulation which could make you feel more calm and composed
12.Try outdoors: Try sitting in your balcony or garden. Breathing fresh air would make you feel better.
13.Completly avoid smoking and alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
